Separation from Employment Agreements

Policy Statement

Under certain circumstances the terms and conditions of an individual's separation from employment at Syracuse University is subject to a written contract that imposes certain obligations on both parties. For persons reporting through Academic Affairs, the separation of employment contract will be signed by the Vice Chancellor and Provost. For all other persons, the separation of employment contract will be signed by the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. A human resources staff member designated by either the Vice Chancellor and Provost, or the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer will review each separation of employment contract before it is presented to the officer for signature to ensure that it complies with relevant University policy.
